Zoltan Bajnoci Obituary (1925

Zoltan "Dick" Bajnoci, 87, a sixty seven year resident of Attleboro, passed on August 9th, 2012 at his recent home; the Victorian Mansion in South Attleboro. He had lived previously on Knott Street since 1959. He was the beloved husband of the late Lillian Chace Bajnoci. â?¨â?¨Born in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania on July 4th, 1925, he was a son of the late Alex and Julia Simon Bajnoci. He was raised and educated in Bethlehem. Dick joined the U.S. Navy at the age of seventeen in 1942 and served four years as an Aviation Machinist- Mate 2nd Class. Dick met his late wife Lillian while stationed in New York. They were married in Twenty Nine Palms, California. At the time of Lillian's death in August of 2006, they had been married for sixty-one years. Dick was a Group Leader at Texas Instruments until retiring along with Lillian in 1986 after forty years. He enjoyed fishing, especially in Westport, MA and participated in the Texas Instruments Bowling League and Golf League. After retiring, he golfed with his buddies on Wednesdays at Locust Valley. He could be seen daily taking his mile walk at Finberg Field and then picking up his Sun Chronicle at Bliss Brothers Dairy. Dick and Lillian enjoyed many great times in Florida after retiring. Early times were spent vacationing in Chatham every summer with the children and Lillian's sister Ellie and her late husband Russell and their children Margie Gallant and the late Russell Heap. Dick is survived by a son; Richard Bajnoci and his wife Peggy of Attleboro, and a daughter; Donna Baker and her husband Ron of Winter Haven, Florida, four loving grandsons; Shane Bajnoci and his wife Nicole of New Salem, MA, Darin Bajnoci and his fiancé Erin Ratcliffe of Goshen, MA, Shawn Baker and his wife Jennifer of Deltona, Florida, and Ryan Baker and his wife Maria of DeBary, Florida, his cherished great grandchildren; Sydney, Chace, and Dylan Baker of Deltona, Florida, Colten Baker of DeBary, Florida, and Jackson Bajnoci of Goshen, MA.. Also survived by a special nephew; Tom Harka and his wife Dot of Bath, Pennsylvania, a great nephew; Jeffrey Heap of Attleboro, and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Dick was predeceased by his brother Alex Bajnoci and sister Mary Harka. He has been lovingly cared for at the Victorian Mansion by the most adoring staff. How do we thank them? Our Danielle could not have done any more for "Zol" or his family. Along with his buddy Brenda, Patsy, Betty, Mo, Ann, Winny, Lisa, and of course Bob Belanger and Carolyn.
