Mrs. Ruth Ann Daviau Obituary (1938

ATTLEBORO – Ruth Ann Daviau, 77, of Attleboro passed away Tuesday morning, August 25, 2015 at the Epoch Senior Healthcare of Harwich. She was the beloved wife of the late Roger Daviau for 32 years before he passed away in 2007. Born on July 2, 1938 in Attleboro, she was a daughter of the late William W. and Irene (Dunbar) Sproul. Ruth Ann was a lifelong resident of Attleboro and a graduate of Attleboro High School. She was employed as a switchboard operator for the Department of Social Services for many years and also was a secretary for the former Attleboro Trust Bank. Ruth Ann was an active member of the Centenary United Methodist Church in Attleboro and she loved to make chocolates. Ruth Ann is survived by her two sons, Dale D. Goodinson and his wife Vivian of Harwich and William J. Sproul and his wife Christine of Attleboro; six grandchildren, Amy L. Goodinson, Joseph I. Goodinson, Lance Corporal Stephanie E. (Goodinson) Doyle, USMC, Jessica L. (Sproul) Ferrini, Jason D. Sproul and Lance Corporal Joshua A. Sproul, USMC; six great grandchildren; a brother, Joseph W. Sproul and his wife Brenda Lee of FL and many nieces and nephews. She was the great grandmother of the late Olivia R. Goodinson and Nathan J. Doyle. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Monday, August 31, from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Duffy-Poule Funeral Home, 20 Peck St., Attleboro. A funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday, Sept. 1 at 10 a.m. in the Centenary United Methodist Church, 39 North Main St., Attleboro. Burial will follow in the North Purchase Cemetery, 825 North Main St., Attleboro. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ruth Ann’s memory to the Centenary United Methodist Church, 39 N Main St., Attleboro, MA 02703
