Mrs. Ruth E. Anderson Obituary (2016)

ATTLEBORO - Ruth E. Anderson passed away peacefully on October 19, 2016 at Life Care Center of Attleboro. She was the beloved daughter of the late Arthur and Hazel (Leland) Hiltz. Ruth leaves behind her loving daughters, Mrs. Deborah Moniz and her husband Anthony, Karol Legere, and her adored grandson Michael J. Legere. She was the sister of Mrs. Barbara Baker and her late husband John, Mrs. Carol Chisolm and her husband Jim, sister-in-law of Mrs. Wilma Hiltz and her late husband Ralph, and was the aunt of numerous nieces and nephews. Ruth was the sister of the late Leland Hiltz and his wife Helen, George A. Hiltz, Mrs. Frances MacPhail and her husband George, and Eva Burrell. Ruth enjoyed her years working for the New Haven and Penn Central Railroad in the dining car, where she met many of her lifetime friends. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial visitation on Monday, October 24, 2016 from 5 to 6:30 p.m. in the Duffy-Poule Funeral Home, 20 Peck Street, Attleboro, MA immediately followed by a funeral service at 6:30 p.m. in the funeral home. Immediately following the services, all those in attendance are invited to join the family at the Florence Hayward Sweet Club House, 44 Peck Street, Attleboro, MA for a time of continued fellowship and refreshments. Burial will be held privately.
