Mr. Robert Omerza Obituary (1936

ATTLEBORO – Robert Omerza, 84, of Attleboro passed away on January 23, 2021 at the Rhode Island Hospital, Providence, RI. He was the loving husband of Mary Ellen (Travers) Omerza of Attleboro. Born on September 11, 1936 in Brooklyn, NY he was a son of the late Michael and Margaret Mary (Sellick) Omerza. Robert worked as a Sargent for the New York Police Department and also at Balfour Manufacturing. He was a longtime member of the Attleboro Elks Lodge #1014 and enjoyed playing darts and golf. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his two sons, Robert Omerza of New Jersey and Richard Omerza of Pennsylvania; his daughter, Annmarie Sutor of Pennsylvania; his grandsons, Gregory Omerza of Connecticut, Kenneth Omerza of New Jersey and Jamie Sutor of Pennsylvania; his three sisters, Harriet Calvani of Florida, Ethel Way of North Carolina and Margaret McGoff of New York. He was the brother of the late Michael, Daniel and Veronica Omerza. Robert was a wonderful guy and was loved by many. He enjoyed life to the fullest and put a smile everyone’s face who was fortunate to meet him. He will be so missed by many. Private funeral services will be held by the family.
