Robert Glode

Mr. Robert (Bob) Glode of Attleboro, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 27, 2023 in Rhode Island Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Robert was the son of the late Mr. Raymond Glode and Mrs. Alice Glode (Jerauld)

Robert was the devoted husband of the late Mrs. Marion S. "Sandy" Glode (Benson) to whom he was married for many years when Marion passed away in April of 2015.

Robert was born on March 5, 1953, in Attleboro, MA, a place he proudly called home for his entire life. Bob was a man who would light up a room with his infectious laughter. His life was filled with the joy of simple pleasures - spending time with his granddaughters Reese and Ruby, cheering for his favorite sports teams, and sharing Sunday breakfast with his brothers. Robert was a hardworking man, having spent his career as a Gas man for a local Gas Company. He was an avid golfer in his younger years and held fond memories of traveling with his beloved late wife Sandy. Their summers were spent together in the Cape and winters skiing, capturing the zest and spirit of their shared life.

Robert's greatest treasures were his loved ones and friends. He leaves behind his daughter Nicole Leclerc, and son-in-law, Ryan Leclerc of Attleboro, 2 grandchildren Reese and Ruby who were the center of his universe. His 3 brothers Raymond, Roger and Randy sister in-laws Sandi and Brenda and multiple, nieces and nephews. He was a loving father and grandfather, always ready with a funny story or a comforting hug. Nothing brought more joy to Robert's life than his daughter and granddaughters, his pride and joy.

Robert is predeceased by his loving wife, his father Raymond, mother Alice, and his brothers Russell and Ronald.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation from 9 a.m. – 11 a.m. on Thursday, January 4, 2024 at the Duffy-Poule Funeral Home, 20 Peck Street, Attleboro. Internment immediately following at St. Stephen’s Cemetery, South Main Street, Attleboro.
