Mr. Paul E. Parsons Obituary (1936

Attleboro- Paul E. Parsons 80, of Attleboro, passed away on Friday, September 22, 2017 at the Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro, MA. He was the loving husband to Dorothy (Stevenson) Parsons of Attleboro. Born November 4, 1936 in Ashland MA, he was proud son of the late Wilson N. Parsons. Paul grew up in Ashland and was a 1954 graduate of Ashland High School and a proud member of the 1953 football team. After graduation Paul worked many jobs and attended night school to earn a certificate in Bookkeeping/ Accounting. During his life he worked in corporate retail as an AP manager to finally the job he loved, a Retail Buyer. His career employment included; Zayre’s Dept. Stores, Mammoth Mart, King’s Dept. Stores, and Ann & Hope. He retired in 2001. Paul was very proud of where he grew up and never forgot Ashland his whole life. But no matter where he lived Easton, Carver, or Attleboro he loved the people and developed many friendships that lasted a lifetime. In his spare time, Paul was an avid Boston fan, Bruins, Celtics, Red Sox, and Patriots. But most of all he was an avid fan of his children and his grandchildren. He never a missed a grandchild’s baseball, soccer, field hockey or ice hockey game and always had words of kindness after each game. Paul even convinced himself that a dance recital was a sport and never missed any of his granddaughters’ recitals. Paul was most happy when he was in the special company of his treasured family and friends. In addition to his wife, Paul is survived by his cherished children, Mark Parsons and his wife Gayle of Attleboro, Cheri Lefebvre and her husband Kevin of Fort Collins CO, Gary Parsons and his wife Kathy of Milford CT; 7 grandchildren; also many friends and his beloved dog “Koko”. He was the brother of David Parsons of AZ and John Parsons of CA. Even though they were separated at a young age but reconnected later in life he never forgot them. He was so proud of both of them. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Wednesday, September 27th, from 10 a.m. -12 p.m. at the Duffy-Poule Funeral Home, 20 Peck St., Attleboro. A graveside service will be conducted following the visitation at the Wildwood Cemetery, 76 Chestnut St., Ashland MA.
