Mrs. Patricia L. Benson Obituary (1929

ATTLEBORO – Patricia L. Benson, 86, of Attleboro passed away on Friday, March 4, 2016 in the Madonna Manor Nursing Home, North Attleboro. Born on July 8, 1929 in Boston, MA, she was a daughter of the late Pasquale and Anna (Merritt) Vigilione. Patricia was raised and educated in Boston and was a graduate of East Boston High School. She was a homemaker and a longtime communicant of the National Shrine of Our Lady of La Salette in Attleboro where she also served as an extraordinary minister of Holy Communion. Patricia is survived by her two daughters, Eileen P. and her husband William O’Connell of Colorado and Jeanne M. and her husband John Buckley of Attleboro; 5 grandchildren, William O’Connell III and his wife Ann of Colorado, Kelli Buckley and her fiancé Miles Harper of Attleboro, John Buckley and his wife Johnna of Mansfield, Adam Buckley and his wife Molly of Plainville and Ashleigh Buckley of Waltham; five great grandchildren, Kathryn and Elizabeth O’Connell both of Colorado, Giavanna and Anna Buckley both of Mansfield and Madeline Harper of Attleboro; she is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Kevin S. Moynihan and sister of the late Marie Neumeier and Jean Benson. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Tuesday morning, March 8, 2016 from 9 to 10:30 a.m. in the Duffy-Poule Funeral Home, 20 Peck St., Attleboro, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m., in St. John the Evangelist Church, 133 North Main St., Attleboro. The burial will take place privately in the Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden, MA.
