Mrs. Patricia Marie Andrews Obituary (1948

Patricia Andrews, 72, of Johnston, RI, passed away peacefully at Rhode Island Hospital on Monday, December 21, 2020. Born in Providence, and a long-time resident of Johnston, she was the beloved wife of George Andrews, Sr. for 51 wonderful years, and the daughter of the late Vincent Ritter and Eva (Reis) Ritter. Pat is also survived by her 3 children, Nicole Andrews of East Greenwich, RI, Christina Andrade and her husband Anthony of Killingly, CT and her son, George Andrews Jr. of Lincoln, RI. First and foremost, Pat will be remembered as a wife, mother and grandmother. For the past three years, she spent her time volunteering at the Johnston Senior Center doing what she loved most, selflessly caring for others. She loved being around people and helping the members. Pat missed the Senior Center terribly since being closed due to Covid-19. Always held in high regard, you would never hear a bad word spoken about her. Pat loved dining with her husband George and venturing to the casino. She enjoyed her monthly lunches with her cousins and cherished time with her very large extended family. She valued her relationships and spent as much time as she could with her children and grandchildren. Aside from George, they were the loves of her life. She is truly loved and will be dearly missed. Pat was a cherished grandmother to her four granddaughters; Alexia Furia, Ella Raczelowski, and Olivia and Abigail Andrade; dear sister to Nora Rose and husband James Whittle of Virginia Beach, Richard Carnevale of Providence and Vincent Ritter of Johnston. Pat also leaves behind her cousin, Cecile Cabral of East Providence, whom she loved like a sister. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and cousins whom she loved so much. Patricia is predeceased by her brother, Norman Ritter and all her special and cherished aunts and uncles, along with her mother-in-law (Josephine) and father-in-law (Arthur). Visiting hours will be held Sunday, December 27, 2020, 3-5:00 p.m. at Duffy-Poule Funeral Home, 20 Peck Street, Attleboro, MA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, December 28, at 9:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Grace Church, 4 Lafayette Street #2712, Johnston, RI.
