Mr. Oscar K. "Oskie" Lee Obituary (1934

It is with great sadness the family of Oscar Kanute Lee “Oskie”, 85, of Attleboro, MA announces he went to the Lord surrounded by the love of his family after losing his battle with lung disease on June 29, 2019. Beloved husband to Raquel (Martinez) Lee for more than 60 years. Born on January 9, 1934, in Havana, Cuba, he was the son of the late Amelia (Llaguno) and Conrad Lee. He was educated in Havana, Cuba and went on to serve as a military policeman for 20 years in the US Air Force. He was a veteran of the Korean War and was awarded an Air Force Commendation Medal. He traveled the world with his family living in Europe, Southeast Asia, The Philippines, and many of the United States. After his retirement from the US Air Force, he lived the last 43 years of his life in Massachusetts where he was employed by GTE Laboratories in Waltham, MA for 25 years before retiring. His greatest passions were collecting race car and t-shirts, spending time outdoors, and traveling with his children and grandchildren, which brought him great joy. Oscar was known for being a hard worker, dedicated father and grandfather, and his quick wit. He was thankful for everyone in his life and was always grateful for what he had. In addition to his wife, Raquel, he is survived by his son, Dennis Lee, and his wife, Tracey, of Milford, his daughters, Roxanne Randall, and her husband, Randy, of Attleboro, Michelle Michienzi, of Attleboro, and his nine grandchildren, Zachary and Alyssa Lee, Roscoe and Dean Lee, Cameron, Tyler, and Hannah Michienzi, and Christian and Gina Randall, as well as his great-grandson, Zachary Lee Jr. He was predeceased by his oldest son Oscar L. Lee. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial visitation from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. on Saturday, July 6, 2019, at the Duffy-Poule Funeral Home, 20 Peck Street, Attleboro immediately followed by a funeral home service with United States Air Force honors at 12 p.m. Burial at Hillside Cemetery, South Main Street, Attleboro, will take place at a later date.
