Myrtle M. Christ Obituary (1913

Myrtle M. Christ, 99, a homemaker, formerly of Attleboro, passed peacefully on Wednesday, January 30, 2013 in the Somerset Ridge Health Center, Somerset. She was the wife of the late Elmer G. Stafford to whom she was married for twenty three years, and the late Fritz Christ to whom she was married for forty six years. Born Myrtle Worden in Medford, MA on August 18, 1913, she was a daughter of the late Francis "Frank" A. and Estella Sands Worden. Myrtle was raised in Attleboro and was a graduate of Attleboro High School Class of 1931. Myrtle summered in Wareham and wintered in Naples, Florida for over forty years. She enjoyed swimming, golfing, and traveling, sewing and crocheting. Myrtle is survived by a son; Alan Stafford of Hamilton, Ohio, two daughters; Elizabeth Timmins of North Dighton, and Nancy Ewing of Tiverton, Rhode Island, a sister; Harriet McInerney of Attleboro, five grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Howard Worden, Dorothy Thompson, Rita King Linnell and Grace Piche. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the Duffy-Poule Funeral Home, 20 Peck Street, Attleboro where Myrtle's family will receive friends on Friday, February 22nd from 10-11 AM. A Funeral Service will follow at 11 AM in the funeral home. Myrtle will be laid to rest in Newell Burying Ground, South Attleboro. Myrtle was a devoted blood donor throughout her life, in lieu of flowers please visit your local blood bank and give "The Gift of Life".
