Michael Hadley

Michael R. Hadley, 72, of Taunton, MA passed away Thursday, August 6, 2026 at his home surrounded by his family.

Born February 21, 1954 in Taunton, MA he was the son of Rita P. (Desrosiers) of North Attleboro and the late Russell E. Hadley.

Michael was a very smart and intellectual person. He kept up with current world events and politics. He was always ready to give anyone a good debate. He loved to cook and entertain family and friends. He was quite the grill master and the life of the party.

He loved football and not just the New England Patriots. He enjoyed all football, knowing all the best players on each team. He also enjoyed playing fantasy football.

Mike enjoyed telling stories about going down the Allagash River with his father in the wooden canoe and sailing with friends, Jeff Sweet and Al Amaro. Michael liked to travel and was blessed with many true friends.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his children: Michael Hadley of North Andover, MA; Charlotte Hadley and Mirelle Hadley, both of Tiverton, RI; and sisters, Donna Hadley of North Attleboro, Gail Poliquin of Westport, MA, and Linda Hadley of Plainville, MA. As well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Michael's family would like to thank some friends for being there for him: Dave Hall, Rita Boyd Yang and Lloyd, Dave (Smitty) and Brenda, Judd and Lena Smith, The Sweet's family, and Mike Rainville. We are grateful to his friend, Angela, whom Mike loved, who stayed willingly by his side for years.

The family would also like to thank the guys at "Taunton Housing" for loving and supporting Mike; Keith, George, and Stephen were at his beck and call, as were nurses Jillian and Jessica.

Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial visitation on Sunday, August 30, 2026 from 12:00 pm to 2:30 pm in the Duffy-Poule Funeral and Cremation Service, 20 Peck St., Attleboro. A memorial service will follow the visitation at 2:30 pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family would like people to plant something in honor of Mike.
