Michael Araujo

Michael Paul Araujo, of Attleboro passed away unexpectedly on Friday, July 21, 2023.

Born in Attleboro, MA on December 19, 1978, he was compassionate man who touched the lives of many with his kindness, generosity, and was always ready to lend a helping hand. Michael, generous spirit shone brightly in his chosen profession as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).

Michael leaves behind his father, Antonio Araujo of Attleboro; his sister, Erica Araujo of Washington, D.C.; his step-mother, Deborah Reid of Attleboro; and his sister-in-law, Ashley Rush of Washington D.C. He is preceded in death by his mother, Paula Araujo. He was a steadfast friend, a loving son, and a supportive brother.

Michael was a distinguished athlete in his youth, contributing to the Attleboro High School and Worcester Academy Football & Track teams. He also earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Providence College. He was an avid sports enthusiast and found great joy in cheering on all the New England Teams, with a special place in his heart for the Red Sox and Celtics.

A “Celebration of Life” will be held on Saturday, August 5, 2023, from 2 – 6 pm at the Portuguese American Club, 65 Prairie Avenue, Attleboro, MA. This celebration will be an opportunity to honor Michael’s memory and share cherished stories and memories together.

Funeral services are under the care of Duffy-Poule Funeral Home, 20 Peck Street, Attleboro, MA.
