Mrs. Mary P. Pistocco Obituary (1936

NORTH ATTLEBORO – Mary P. Pistocco, 79, of North Attleboro, passed away on Saturday, May 2, 2015 in the Sturdy Memorial Hospital, Attleboro. She was the loving wife of Louis Pistocco Sr. of North Attleboro. Born June 10, 1936 in Attleboro, MA, she was a daughter of the late James and Theresa (Croke) Birch. Mary was a graduate of the former St. Xavier Academy in Pawtucket, RI and she then attended the former Pawtucket Memorial Hospital Nursing School where she received her registered nursing degree. Mary was employed as an RN for over 30 years working at Pawtucket Memorial, Miriam Hospital and for the Diocese of Fall River at the Madonna Manor Nursing Home in North Attleboro. Mary enjoyed gardening, reading, and playing the piano. She treasured time with her family and friends both on the beach and at her Cape house in West Harwich, MA. Mary truly loved spending time with her beloved grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Mary is survived by her four children, Mary-Lou O’Brien of Douglas, MA, Kathleen Pistocco of NH, Louise Germani of North Attleboro and Louis Pistocco Jr. of Attleboro; four grandchildren, Daniel and Megan O’Brien of Douglas, MA, and Joseph and Mark Germani of North Attleboro; a great granddaughter, Kenzie Ava O’Brien of Douglas, MA; two siblings, John Birch of Attleboro and Kathleen Mulherin of Cape Cod; she is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Visitation has been respectfully omitted. A Mass of Christian Burial, will be held on Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at 11 a.m., in St. John the Evangelist Church, 133 North Main St., Attleboro. Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery, Attleboro.
