Lucy Tansey

Lucy Margaret Tansey, passed on December 3rd of 2023 at the age of 62 years old. She was surrounded by family at her home of Lewisville, Texas.

Lucy was born November 25, 1961 in Sao Miguel Azores. She lived in Texas for the past 17 years, but spent a majority of her life in Attleboro, Massachusetts. She is preceded by her mother, Fernanda Garcia-Bernardo, her father, Manuel Bernardo, her sister, Antonia Bernardo-Arujo and her brother, Joseph Bernardo. Lucy leaves behind a loving family including: her brother Manuel Bernardo and his wife, Gabriela of Sao Miguel, her two daughters, Kimberly Tansey and Kelly Nunn and her husband Lane Nunn, her brother in law, Mario Arujo and four grandchildren.

Lucy was a bright light in this world, making friends with anyone she met. She was known for her kindness and her compassion. She became a loving member of her community in Fort Worth, Texas when she worked as a manager of Albertsons. Many of her loyal customers would stop by the store just to see her smiling face.

Relatives and friends are welcome to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am on December 14, 2023 at St. John the Evangelist Church, 133 North Main Street, Attleboro MA. Burial will follow at St. John's Cemetery, Attleboro.
