Mr Lewis E. Nye Obituary (1930

ATTLEBORO – Lewis E. Nye, 84, of Attleboro died peacefully on the morning of Monday, October 27, 2014 in the Kindred Hospital, Stoughton from complications of a long illness. He was the husband of Theresa (Lapointe) Nye of Attleboro. Lewis was born in Holden, NH on January 14, 1930 and later moved to Vermont with his family. He moved to Attleboro after serving in the Korean War. He was the son of the late Lewis E. and Florence Nye. Lewis was employed by Shields Manufacturing as a Supervisor for more than 25 years before retiring to enjoy spending more time with his family. In addition to his wife, Lewis is survived by his children, Cheryl (Nye) Chappell and her husband Jay of Taunton, Daniel Nye and his wife Christine of Attleboro; his grandchildren, Dale Nye of Attleboro, Christy Chappell of Taunton, Danielle Chappell of Taunton, Joshua Arno of Attleboro, Brittney (Arno) Perry and her husband Sean of Rehoboth, Jeremy Arno of Attleboro and Megan Nye of Attleboro. He was the father of the late Darlene (Nye) Arno. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Sunday, Nov. 2, 2014 from 4 – 8 p.m. in the Duffy-Poule Funeral Home, 20 Peck Street, Attleboro. A funeral service will be held on Monday, Nov. 3, 2014 at 10 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Oak Knoll Cemetery, Route 118, Rehoboth.
