Mr. John R. Gallant Sr. Obituary (1958

Attleboro – John R. Gallant Sr., 55, of Miriam Drive, passed away suddenly on Feb. 1, 2014. Born September, 5, 1958 in Attleboro, MA he was the son of William Sr. and Helen (Raposa) Gallant of Attleboro. John proudly served in the United States Army. He loved spending time on the Cape especially in Truro, listening to country music and antiquing. He also enjoyed history and was a skilled electrician. Most of all he loved spending time with his family and close friends. In addition to his parents he is survived by two daughters, Lisa Gallant of Warwick, RI and Christina Vierra of Atlanta, Georgia; a son, John Gallant Jr. of Bristol, RI; four grandchildren, Stalone, Matthew, Alexandra and Brady; a sister, Linda D’Agostino; two brothers, Michael Gallant and David Gallant; also many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late William Gallant Jr. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Sunday, Feb. 9, 2014 from 4-6 p.m. in the Duffy-Poule Funeral Home, 20 Peck Street, Attleboro. A funeral service will be held on Monday, Feb. 10, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial with military honors will follow in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Borne, MA.
