Mrs. Joanne "Jody" P. McNary Obituary (1929

ATTLEBORO – Joanne “Jody” P. McNary, 84, of Attleboro, passed away on Dec. 13, 2013 in the Village at Willow Crossing, Mansfield. She was the wife of the late Donald McNary. Born in Winchester, MA on May 18, 1929, she was the youngest of six children of the late Frank and Helen Plimpton. Jody grew up in North Willington, MA and was a graduate of Dean Academy and Tufts University Employed in the Attleboro school system as a special education teacher for 22 years and also worked for Texas Instruments as an educational trainer for many years after. She enjoyed playing tennis, bridge, gardening and spending her summers in Mattapoisett where many family gathering were held. Jody is survived by her four children; Susan O’Brien and Christopher McNary both of Norton, Cynthia MacPhee of FL and Douglas McNary of Cohasset; grandmother of nine and great grandmother of two. Private funeral services will be held. In lieu of flowers donations in Joanne’s name may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 480 Pleasant Street, Watertown, MA 02472.
