Mrs. Joan Judge Obituary (1938

ATTLEBORO - Joan Margaret Smith Reynolds Judge, 77, of Attleboro, passed away on Thursday, June 4, 2015 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Kevin J. Judge. Born January 16, 1938 in Taunton, MA, she was a daughter of the late William and Edith (Matteson) Reynolds. Joan grew up in Attleboro and was a 1955 graduate of Attleboro High School. She was co-owner of Reynolds & Markman, Inc. with her husband for many years. Always full of energy and on the go, she had a youthful flair and a quiet enduring strength. As a 13-year survivor of lung cancer, she possessed a fighting spirit that taught those around her that attitude and determination truly make a difference. She enjoyed spending time with friends frequenting boutiques and restaurants and particularly looked forward to her standing Friday night culinary adventures with her best friends, Bob and Pat Shapiro. Forever up on current events and in tune with talk radio, Joan was always in the know on the most recent happenings. She loved Christmas, especially hosting the annual gathering for the entire Judge clan and was renowned for making the biggest and the BEST Christmas stockings around! Above all, she was devoted to her family and treasured being "Grammie" to her seven grandchildren. She is survived by her three children, Kevin M. Judge and his wife Maryann of North Attleboro, Colleen M. Judge of Attleboro and Timothy W. Judge and his wife Allyson of Oakton, VA; her grandchildren, Drew, Shealyn and Trinity Harrison, Aidan and Brady Judge and William and Evan Judge; her two sisters, Sheila Lincoln and Barbara Aguiar; a brother-in-law and several sister-in-laws, as well as many nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Monday, June 8, from 4pm to 8pm in the Duffy-Poule Funeral Home, 20 Peck St. Attleboro. A funeral will be conducted on Tuesday, June 9 at 9am from the Duffy-Poule Funeral Home, followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10am in St. John the Evangelist Church, 133 North Main St., Attleboro. Burial will follow in the St. John’s Cemetery, Attleboro, MA.
