George “Bud” A. Caldwell, 90 of Attleboro, passed away peacefully at Sturdy Memorial Hospital on May 22, 2024. He was the husband of the late Marie “Babe” Caldwell.
George is survived by his son Keith Caldwell of Attleboro, daughter Kelly Brousseau of Attleboro, daughter Shannon Aguiar and his son-in-law Jesse Aguiar of Attleboro and his daughter-in-law Catherine Calcagni of West Warwick.
He leaves a legacy of memories with his 6 grandchildren, Lindsey Brousseau, Meghan McCluskey and her husband Scott, Jillian Robillard, Corey Bush, Chelsea Calcagni, Mikaela Calcagni, and his great grandchildren, Landen Brousseau “his buddy” and Quinn and Whitney McCluskey.
He was pre-deceased by his son Steven Calcagni, as well as his siblings Skip and Harry.
George spent most of his life working as a Quality Engineer Manager for Texas Instruments in Attleboro. He retired after over 40 years of working there. George enjoyed watching pretty much all sports. He was a true New England fan for sure, Patriots, Red Sox and Celtics were some of his favorites. His cat "Tigger" enjoyed sitting in his lap while he watched his favorites. After retirement, he enjoyed picking up his Great Grandson from school and taking him for a slushy at Cumberland Farms. As well as spending time with his friend Mike. George was a ball-buster as they say, he loved to tease his son, his nephew Glenn as well as his grandchildren. Whether it was poking you with his cane or tickling the back of your ear. One of his favorite things to ask his grandchildren was “did you walk to work or carry your lunch”. He had a big heart and would help anyone, he always wanted to make sure his family was ok.
The family would like to give a very special thank you to the amazing people who took care of George. They took care of him as if he was their family and made sure he was as comfortable as can be, Debra Hart and Christopher “aka Mike” Wainwright.
