Clara Ann Castro

ATTLEBORO – Clara Ann Castro, 84, of Attleboro, passed away peacefully at home, with her family by her side on Monday, May 31, 2021.

She was born on November 4, 1936 in Chicago, IL and was a daughter of the late Gabriel and Carmella Lupo.

Clara was raised in Long Island, NY and met her beloved husband, Tom on a blind date. Their first date was at the Marine Corps Ball on November 10, 1956. Tom and Clara have been married for 62 and ½ years.

Besides her husband, Clara is survived by her seven children, Donna and her husband Michael Figuerado, Nancy and her husband Ted McCretton, Laurie and her husband Joe Siddall, Maureen and her husband David Kayata, Thomas Jr. and his wife Susan, James and his wife Lori and Michael and his wife Kim. Clara is also survived by twenty beloved grandchildren and seven cherished great granddaughters.

She was predeceased by her siblings, James Lupo, Stella Burdick, Vera Carman and her first born twin brothers, James and Michael.
Clara embraced her faith, enjoyed many years of being a St. John’s choir member, puzzles, knitting, ceramics and spending many years on Cape Cod.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday, June 3, 2021 at the Duffy-Poule Funeral Home, 20 Peck Street, Attleboro.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, June 4, 2021 at 11 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Church, 133 North Main Street, Attleboro.

Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery, Attleboro.
