Christine (Chris) Hochstetler Obituary (1950 - 2024) - North Attleborough, Massachusetts

Christine “Chris” (Michael) Hochstetler, 73, of North Attleboro passed away Wednesday, November 6, 2024 in Providence, RI. Born November 22, 1950 in Spokane, WA she was the daughter of the late Jack and Sylvia “Ruth” (Snyder) Michael. Chris also lived in San Luis Obispo, CA from 2004 to 2022 and the past couple of years in North Attleboro, MA. She worked as a caregiver with Life Steps Foundation in San Luis Obispo, CA until 2020. Prior to this she worked at New Century Mortgage, Barristers Reporting Service, Dr. Moyer’s Dental Office and Sligh Cabinets. She was part of the Women’s Auxiliary of the VFW in Atascadero, CA in the 1970’s. Prior to having Alzheimer’s she loved to do wood working projects and was very handy. She enjoyed helping everyone, even those she didn’t know. After Alzheimer’s prohibited her from doing many things, she loved to collect rocks & leaves and playing with all of her “babies”. She also loved music and dancing. She is survived by her children; Richard Michael of Meza, AZ, Jody Simons of Auburn, CA and Brenda Herson of North Attleboro, MA; a sister, Sherry Dominguez of Santa Barbara, CA, a brother, Randy Michael of Riverside, CA; grandchildren, Ashley Simons, Bailey Simons both of Sacramento, CA and Jamie Michael of Glendale, AZ; a great grandson, Zephyr Simons Doss of Sacramento, CA; nieces and nephews, Angela Fair of Santa Maria, CA, Joseph Fair of Santa Barbara, CA, Toshina Casillas of Moreno Valley, CA, David Michael of Norco, CA, Chad Michael of Oceanside, CA and Tim Michael of California. She was preceded in death by a brother, Dan Michael and her best friend, Darlene Jenkins. Chris was a kind, generous and honest woman who showed empathy to everyone. She was always smiling and making friends every where she went. Chris loved her family and friends. Chris’ family would like to thank HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice Center in Providence, RI and the amazing care team that surrounded her the last two weeks of her life. All services are private.
