Augustine Raposa Obituary (1924 - 2022) - Attleboro, Massachusetts

Augustine John Raposa, 97, of Attleboro passed away on Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at the Sturdy Memorial Hospital, Attleboro. He was the husband of the late Shirley Raposa and current husband of Susan Thomsen Raposa of Attleboro. Born on October 27, 1924 in Fall River, MA he was the son of the late Jose and Maria (Botelho) Raposa. Augustine grew up in Attleboro and worked in textiles for Attleboro Dye and Finishing and continued working as a machine operator for N. Ferrara, Inc. until his well-deserved retirement. He was a communicant of the former St. Stephens Church in Attleboro and currently attended Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Church in Seekonk. In addition to his wife Susan, he is survived by his two daughters, Linda Pinault and Donna Lapalme; his son, Alan Raposa; three grandchildren, Jaclyn Halliday, Michel Pinault and Jeffrey Lapalme; his two great grandchildren, Jeffrey Vanover and Faith Pinault; three sisters, Lou Paille, Irene Ryder and Marion Davis, also many nieces and nephews. He also was predeceased by 8 siblings. Private services were held.
