    Mr. Timothy W. Halpin

    November 7, 1950 - December 5, 2021

    Timothy William Halpin of Attleboro, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 5, 2021 at 71 years of age. Beloved husband of the late Melanie Yvonne (Fournier) Halpin. Son of the late A. Jean (Kehoe) and Edward R. Halpin and son-in-law of the late Doris B. (Ouimet) and Leo E. Fournier. Loving stepfather of Christopher Boyle and his wife Albina of N. Providence, RI; and Kelly Greenslade of Attleboro. Cherished grandfather of Samantha Greenslade of Attleboro; Nicholas Boyle of N. Providence, RI; and Victoria Boyle also of N. Providence, RI. Adored brother of John Halpin of N. Carolina and Susan Goslin of Titusville, FL. Brother-in-law of Charlotte Soule of Attleboro and the late William Soule. Uncle of Suzanne Clark of Attleboro; Sharon Gunther of Georgia; and Scott Soule of Warren, RI. Tim also leaves many cousins, great nieces and nephews. Tim was born in Fall River and grew up in Somerset. He went on to serve in the United States Marine Corp. during the Vietnam War in 1969 within the 1st Marine Division. He was honored with the Rifle Marksman Badge, National Defense Service Medal and the Vietnam Campaign Medal with Device. After the war, Tim went on to receive his Associates Degree in Arts at Northern Essex Community College. He later worked as an inspector of precious metals for Leach and Garner for over 25 years before his retirement. He enjoyed the New England Patriots, the Boston Red Sox, trivia games, military history, and was a crossword enthusiast. The Halpin family would like to give a special thank you to the VA Medical team(s), Veterans Administration of Attleboro, and to Hospice services through Beacon for all their care and support. Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation on Friday, December 17, 2021 from 5-8 PM at Duffy-Poule Funeral Home, 20 Peck Street, Attleboro. A private burial will take place at a later date.
