Sarah Costello

COSTELLO – Sarah Ann, 67, of Attleboro, passed on Wednesday, September 14, 2022, at Women & Infants Hospital, Providence, RI, riding her favorite Arabian horse “Corey-Beth,” on the trail towards heaven.

Sarah was the beloved companion of Steven Pavao of Somerset, whom she spent many adventurous and memorable years with.

Besides Steven, she is survived by her two daughters, Kelley Costello of Lincoln, RI and Kasey McCoy (Costello) and her husband Joshua McCoy of Laurel Hill, FL; her 4 grandchildren Cody, Gavyn, Jayden and Penelope; her brother Michael Habershaw and his wife Donise of Sarasota, FL; her brother Steven Habershaw and his wife Mary Ann of Lutz, FL; and the late Kenneth P. Habershaw and his wife Gina of Warwick, RI; as well as a niece and several nephews; and her beloved cat, Asia.

Born on April 17, 1955, in Attleboro, MA she was a daughter of Carol (Adams) Habershaw and the late Edward Habershaw. Sarah resided in Attleboro but spent many years previously residing in Rehoboth.
Sarah was a graduate of North Attleboro High School and worked for Paratronix in Attleboro as a quality control technician.

Sarah was an avid horsewoman. She was a founding member of the Bristol County Horseman’s Association where she met many lifelong friends. She loved trail riding and horse camping with friends and spent many years working at a Thoroughbred breeding farm in Rehoboth. When Sarah wasn’t horseback riding, she enjoyed hiking, kayaking, and watching wildlife. She had a passion for nature and landscape photography.

The family would like to thank Hope Health Hospice for the care and compassion provided to Sarah.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation from 3 – 7 p.m. on Tuesday, September 20, 2022 at the Duffy-Poule Funeral Home, 20 Peck Street, Attleboro. Burial will be held privately at a later date.
