Mr. Mark David Wolfenden Obituary (1956

SEEKONK - Mark David Wolfenden, 61, of Seekonk, MA passed away unexpectedly on December 11, 2017 in the Sturdy Memorial Hospital, Attleboro. He was the devoted husband for 40 years to Susan (Utzig) Wolfenden. Born on July 18, 1956 in Woburn, MA he was a son of the late Mary (Rossi) Wolfenden and George Wolfenden and stepson of the late Shirley (Simas) Wolfenden. Mark was a patriot and was very passionate about politics as well as helping others. He also enjoyed fishing, movies, and cooking for his wife and family. He was an avid Patriots fan and took great joy in following the game. Mark touched the lives of so many people during his years of coaching little league and White Hawks football that he will be remembered by many but most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family. He was a 1975 graduate of Dighton-Rehoboth Regional High School and attended college at Hudson Valley Community College (HVCC) in Troy, NY. He played football all through high school and college years breaking a number of records. Subsequently, he played semi-pro football in Albany, NY and RI. He worked for Texas Instruments for 20 years as an all-around machine operator until retiring due to medical issues. He was the loving father of Kelly Bernard and David Wolfenden and father-in-law of Jeremy Bernard and Kristen Wolfenden. Mark was also the devoted grandfather of Benjamin Wolfenden. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Friday, December 15, 2017 from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Duffy-Poule Funeral Home, 20 Peck St., Attleboro.
