Mr. Mark "Longie" Long

ATTLEBORO- Mark “Longie” Long, 62, of Attleboro, passed away on Thursday, August 1, 2019 at his home, after a long and valiant battle with cancer. He was the adored and beloved husband to his wife, Rhonda Marcolini of Bellingham. Born on June 21, 1957 in Weymouth, he was the proud son of the late Malcolm Sr. and Doris Long. In his younger years, Mark lived and grew up in Rockland and Walpole. Mark was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps and he also graduated from Mass Bay Community College with an Associate’s degree in Computer Science. Mark was a recent retiree after 25 dedicated years working at Siemens-Healthineers, where he held many important positions in the Quality Support, IT, and Inventory System departments. In his spare time, Mark loved to fish, golf, and spend time with his wife and family. He had a very diverse taste in music and food and loved to cook for his family. In addition to his wife, Rhonda, Mark is survived by his sons, Jason Long of Blackstone, Daniel Long and his wife Kristina of Seekonk, and Matthew Long of Dedham; his grandchildren, Aiden and Maddox of Blackstone and also Samantha and Hailey of Seekonk; his siblings, Deborah Long and Diane (Long) Peterson of Arizona, and Michael and Bruce Long of Vermont. Services in celebration of Mark's life will take place privately. In addition to his parents, Mark is predeceased by his brothers, Malcolm Long Jr. and Mitchell Long.
