Mrs. Lorraine T. LaCombe

Lorraine “Greta” Theresa (Boyer) LaCombe, 90, was a lifelong resident of Attleboro.
Lorraine was born on October 21, 1925 in Attleboro and passed away on February 4, 2016 at Golden Living, Garden Place, surrounded by her loving family.

She was the beloved wife of the late Gerard “Chick” for 66 years; devoted mother to Bill LaCombe and his wife Joy, Lenny LaCombe, Sis (LaCombe) Dubuc and her husband George, Betty (LaCombe) Dubuc and her husband Ron, Peter LaCombe and Judy (LaCombe) Consentino and her husband Dave. Loving Grandmother of Doug, Amber, Grant, Ross, Danny, Michael, Alex and Ryan. Great-Grandmother of Lucy, Olive, Ian, Fern, Sophia, Will, Mayden and Lydia

She was the dear sister to Rita Kelley of Mashpee, MA, and preceded in death by her two brothers, Ernie and Edward Boyer, mother Lillie M Boyer and father Leonard Boyer.
She was a proud, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, great aunt, and friend and loved being surrounded by her family and friends.

In her younger years she enjoyed, tennis, camping, playing cards and always loved a good joke. She worked for Bell Telephone Company as a telephone operator in the 1940's before leaving work to raise her family. She later worked at MS Company and Balfour in Attleboro from which she finally retired to care for her mother, Lillie. She was a long-time member of St. John's Catholic Church.

We would like to thank the entire staff at Golden Living, Garden Place for their loving care of our mother while she was a resident.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Visitation on Thursday, March 3, 2016 from 10:00am to 12:00pm in the Duffy-Poule Funeral Home 20 Peck St., Attleboro, immediately followed by a Memorial Service at 12:00pm in the funeral home.

A private burial will take place in the Massachusetts National Cemetery.
