Mrs. Judith C. Turley Obituary (1942

ATTLEBORO – Judith C. Turley, 73, of Attleboro passed away on Monday, January 18, 2016 at the Trinity Health and Rehabilitation Center, Woonsocket, RI. She was the loving wife of the late Kevin Turley. Born on March 1, 1942 in Providence, RI, she was a daughter of the late Harry and Olive (Martin) Dutson. Judith grew up in East Providence and Warwick, RI, was a graduate of the former Warwick Veterans High School and Katherine Gibbs School. She worked as an executive secretary for Allendale Insurance in Johnston, RI before stopping to raise her family. As her children grew older she returned to the work force. She was employed as an executive assistant to the Athletic Director at Wheaton College for many years, a paralegal secretary for many local lawyers and retired as an executive assistant for Staples Corporation at the age of 65. While working and raising her family she decided to attend college, graduating with honors from Stonehill College earning a B.S in business. As a child, Judith loved spending her summers on the beaches of Jamestown, RI. She also enjoyed sewing, needlepoint and reading. Judith was the “neighbor mother” always helping the neighborhood children with their homework. She always cherished the time spent with her loving family. Judith is survived by her two daughters, Kelly and her husband Daniel Roy of Hampton, N.H. and Erin and her husband James Farrell of Foxboro; two grandchildren, Samantha and Jamie Roy both of Hampton, NH; her siblings, Ruth Gormly of Warwick, RI, Robert Dutson of Jamestown, RI and Peter Dutson of Warwick, RI; also many nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Christopher Turley. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Friday, January 22, from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Duffy-Poule Funeral Home, 20 Peck St., Attleboro. A funeral will be conducted on Saturday, January 23 at 8 a.m. from the Duffy-Poule Funeral Home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, at 9 a.m., in St. John the Evangelist Church, 133 North Main St., Attleboro.
