NORTH ATTLEBORO – Judith A. O’Connell, 76, of North Attleboro, passed away on Friday, May 1, 2020 at the Sturdy Memorial Hospital, Attleboro. She was the wife of the late John “Jack” O’Connell. Born on January 28, 1944, in Attleboro, MA she was a daughter of the late Luigi and Longina (Sadowski) Cerrone. Judith was a graduate of North Attleboro High School and longtime resident of North Attleboro. She worked as a health care worker, assisting intellectual and developmental delayed individuals to work and live as independent as possible. Judith was a communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church in Attleboro and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She is survived by her daughter Erin O’Connell Ganley of Hyannis; her granddaughter, Kelsy Ganley of Hyannis; her brother, Louis Cerrone of Sandwich; sister, Marie Lamothe of North Attleboro; her three nephews, Mark Cooper of Attleboro, Christopher Cooper of Cumberland, RI and Nicholas Cooper of Kingston. She was the sister of the late Kathy (Cerrone) Cooper. The family would like to give a special thanks to all who cared for Judy over the last five plus years, especially Bristol Elder Services and Senior Whole Health. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral procession past Judy’s grave at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 8th in the St. Mary’s Cemetery, Towne Street, North Attleboro. A graveside service will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, donations in Judy’s name may be made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation at 20 Hemingway Drive, Riverside, RI 02915.
