Mr. James L. Ward Jr. Obituary (1935

ATTLEBORO- James L. Ward Jr., 82, of Attleboro formerly of Cohasset, passed away on Thursday, May 3, 2018 at the McCarthy Care Center in East Sandwich, MA. He was born in Boston on August 8, 1935. James was the son of the late James L. Ward Sr. and Anna (Shawne) Ward. James was employed at the Barnstead Company from 1971-1988 and he also worked at Cleveland Motion Controls, in the Torque Systems Division, from 1989-2000 as an international exporter/importer. A resident of Brookdale Senior Living in Attleboro for the past year, James also resided in Cohasset for 25 years. While living in Cohasset, he was a parishioner at St. Anthony of Padua Church and he also volunteered his time at the local senior center. James, in his spare time enjoyed reading, bike riding, creating stain glass panels, ceramics, DIY home repairs and gardening. While a resident of Brookdale Senior Living he was an active member of the Book Club. James is survived by his dear siblings, Edmund F. Ward and his wife Isabel of Kingston, Alice E. Ward of Merrimack, NH, and also Michelle E. Sinclair and her husband Philip of Attleboro; his many nieces and nephews; his numerous great-nieces and great-nephews; and also his close and treasured friend, Marilyn Getz of South Weymouth. In addition to his parents, James is predeceased by his sister, Ann Marie Mahana and also his brother-in-law’s, Norman Mahana and Philip Sambol. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Tuesday, May 8, from 4 -8 p.m. in the Duffy-Poule Funeral Home, 20 Peck St. Attleboro. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 9, at 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will take place privately at a later date.
