Mr. James "Bunny" Rich Obituary (1935

TAUNTON – James "Bunny" Rich, 81, of Taunton, passed away on March 5, 2017 at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Boston. He was the loving husband of Theresa (Coelho) Rich of Taunton. Born on April 16, 1935, in Ware, MA he was a son of the late James and Mary (Bobinski) Rich. James grew up in Attleboro and was a graduate of Attleboro High School. He enlisted in the United States Army and proudly served his country for 2 years. As a civilian he worked as a direct support for the Armed Forces in Vietnam for 8 years. James worked in construction overseas or over 20 years and most recently worked part-time for Fed-Ex, as a shuttle driver for the Raynham location. In addition to his wife, James is survived by his son, Ryan Rich of Providence; two step-children, Grant Zajac of Taunton and Jessica Theriault and her husband Randy of Rowley; a sister, Tina Thompson of Attleboro and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Wednesday, March 8, from 5 to 8 p.m. in the Duffy-Poule Funeral Home, 20 Peck St., Attleboro. A funeral will be conducted on Thursday, March 9, at 10 a.m. from the Duffy-Poule Funeral Home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, at 11 a.m., in St. John the Evangelist Church, 133 North Main St., Attleboro. Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery, Attleboro, MA. In lieu of flowers, donations in James’ name may be made to heartbrothers.org, an organization that brings resources together to help heart failure patients and their loved ones survive a life with heart failure and all its challenges.
