Mr. Henri G. Brousseau Obituary (1930

ATTLEBORO - Henri G. Brousseau, 86, of Attleboro, passed away on Sunday, August 7, 2016 in the Franklin Health & Rehabilitation Center, Franklin, MA. He was the husband of late wife Lorraine Brousseau (Brillon) Brousseau. Henri was born on July 24, 1930 and was the son of the late George and Rosanna (LeClair) Brousseau. He was a graduate of Sacred Heart Academy. Henri served as a Staff Sgt. in the US Army as part of the I-Company 110th Regiment 28th Infantry Division during the Occupation of Germany from 1951-1953. Henri lived in Attleboro for 58 years and worked for the L.G. Balfour Company for 40 years. He was a very active member of the St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Attleboro (currently St. Vincent de Paul) where he served as a very active volunteer and Eucharistic Minister throughout his life. Henri also served his community as a Eucharistic Minister through many different organizations in the surrounding community. Henri was Scout Master and an active member of Troop 37 (St. Joseph’s Church) and Troop 76 (Knights of Columbus). He was also an active member and post Chaplain of VFW Post #115 and American Legion Post #20. Henri received numerous awards for his service in the Boy Scouts of America and the VFW. He is survived by his son George H. Brousseau of Attleboro; his grandchildren, Erin Brousseau of Attleboro and Henri Brousseau of Middleboro; and his siblings Pauline Nunes of Riverside, Cecile Brillon of S. Attleboro, Claire Sousa of Cumberland, Walter Brousseau of Woonsocket and Jean-Louise Fitzgerald of Pawtucket; also many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Jean and Paul Brousseau. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on August 11, 2016 from 4-8 p.m. at the Duffy-Poule Funeral Home, 20 Peck Street, Attleboro A funeral will be conducted on Friday, August 12, 2016 at 10 a.m. from the Duffy-Poule Funeral Home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in the St. Vincent de Paul Parish, 71 Linden Street, Attleboro. Burial in the Massachusetts National Cemetery will be held on a later date.
