Mrs. Elaine M. Piazza Obituary (1940

ATTLEBORO- Elaine M. Piazza, 79, of Attleboro, entered into eternal rest to be with the Lord and her late daughter and son, on Saturday, May 18, 2019, at Garden Place Healthcare, surrounded by the love, comfort, and care of her family. Born on February 5, 1940, in Boston, she was the loving daughter to the late Anthony and Maria (Lombardo) Piazza. Elaine was raised and brought up in Boston. She attended Boston Public Schools and was a graduate of Roslindale High School. Following high school, Elaine enrolled and graduated from Boston Clerical School. Putting the skills and education she received from clerical school to use, Elaine worked for many years as an office administrator for the Archdiocese of Boston. In her spare time, Elaine had many hobbies and interest. She had a well-known “green thumb,” as she often liked to tend to her vegetable garden and she also enjoyed making flower arrangements, especially with her favorite flowers, lilacs. She loved to cook for her friends and family and she gained the reputation for making some of the best meatballs around. Above all, Elaine was most happy when she was in the company of and making memories with her beloved family. Elaine will be fondly remembered for her kind and giving attitude. Elaine is survived by her daughter, Renee DePietro and her husband Joe of Wrentham; her grandchildren, Nichola Cossette of North Attleboro, Christina and Bella DePietro of Wrentham, and Syriana Cossette of Raynham; her former husband and lifelong friend, Fred Cossette; and also countless devoted nieces, nephews, and extended family members. In addition to her parents, Elaine is predeceased by her daughter, Gina Cossette, who passed away in 2006 and her son, Anthony Cossette, who passed away in 2013. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, May 29, 2019, at 11 a.m., at St. Vincent de Paul Parish, 71 Linden Street, Attleboro. Burial will take place privately at a later date at St. Stephen’s Cemetery, Attleboro, at which time Elaine will be laid to rest with her daughter and son. Visitation is respectfully omitted. In lieu of flowers, donations in Elaine’s name may be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Society and sent to St. Vincent’s Church at 71 Linden Street, Attleboro, MA 02703
