Dolores Yvonne Hathaway of Attleboro, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 8, 2021 at 77 years of age. Beloved wife of the late Robert W. Hathaway and the late Norman N. Simoneau. Daughter of the late Gloria (Turgeon) and Maurice Dufault. Loving mother of Darleen M. Sunday and husband Dennis of Attleboro; Dennis M. Simoneau and wife Theresa of Woonsocket, RI; Norman S. Simoneau and wife Tasha of Cumberland, RI; and Christopher G. Simoneau and wife Heather of N. Providence, RI. Step-mother of Sue Blackburn and husband Glen of Attleboro and Steve Hathaway of Attleboro. Cherished grandmother of David and wife Alison, Stephanie and husband Richard, Mathew and wife Antuertia, Grace, Hannah, Caroline, Eisha, Joseph, Kathryn, Amber, Dennis, Jessica, Jonathan, Robert, Kellyn, Nathan and Christopher. Great grandmother of 16. Adored sister of Carol Guillmette of Attleboro and her late husband Norman; Donna Brillon and her husband Richard of Pawtucket, RI; and Dennis Dufault of Florida and his late wife Linda. Dolores also leaves many nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. Dolores was born in Attleboro and lived in S. Attleboro, Florida and Pawtucket, RI. She attended Bristol Community College to study business. She worked as a manager for Roman Jewelry Company in Attleboro. Dolores loved singing in the choir, dancing, drama club in Florida, crocheting and quilting. She was the President of the Nuggets Club to fundraise for senior activity center in Florida. She was a member of the Lafoyer Club and enjoyed playing cards, especially Hi Low Jack and Poker, and a member of the American Legion Post 312 Woman’s Auxiliary of S. Attleboro. She loved the casino. Dolores enjoyed spending time with her friends and family especially! Dolores’ family would like to send a special thanks to Beacon Hospice. Thank you to Molly, Lynn and her nurses that made a difference. Thank you to her CNA Rebecca who was amazing. Thanks to all family members who helped with her care. A special thanks to Pauline Lawrence who is such a wonderful woman! Thank you to Dr. Petite and Dr. Bishop and to all the nursing staff at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in the Oncology Department. Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 from 10-12 PM at Duffy-Poule Funeral Home, 20 Peck Street, Attleboro. A Memorial Service will take place at 12 PM at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Newell Burial Ground, 1502 West Street, S. Attleboro. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Dolores Hathaway, may be made to American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org or call 1-800-227-2345.
